Registration: I Jean Monnet Network - BRIDGE Seminar "EU-Latin America trade and investment relations"
On March 15, 2021, the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon will hold an online conference entitled “Trade and investment relations between the European Union and Latin Americaâ€.
The conference is part of the activities of the Jean Monnet Network project of the Erasmus + Program of the European Commission, entitled “Building Rights and Developing Knowledge between European Union and Latin America - BRIDGEâ€, which is composed by the Federal University of Santa Catarina (Brazil ); the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon; the University of Seville (Spain); the University of Milan (Italy); the National Autonomous University (Mexico); the University of Buenos Aires (Argentina) and the University of Rosario (Colombia).
The activities of the event will be divided into two moments:
- Workshop (01:00 PM - Portugal time - GMT 0) - the debate will count on the participation of professors and researchers from nine foreign universities. The presentation of articles, previously selected through a Call for Papers, is open to the public and will take place in English, Spanish or Portuguese. Check the detailed schedule here.
- Seminar (05:00 PM - Portugal time - GMT 0) - The event will count on the participation of several authorities specialized in the theme, among which Augusto Santos Silva, Minister of State and Foreign Affairs of Portugal; José Manuel Fernandes, Member of the European Parliament; Ignacio Ybañez, Ambassador of the European Union to Brazil; Carmen Moreno Toscano, Undersecretary of the Secretariat of Foreign Affairs of Mexico; and Santiago Deluca, Former Secretary of the Mercosur Permanent Review Tribunal.
